Krag-Mites live in the cooler, outer perimeters of volcanic vents. They spend their days gathering minerals from cooled magma flows to strengthen their shells. Shy by nature, they often retreat into their own rocky carapaces when startled. They are frequently found in large colonies, vibrating the ground as they shift in unison.
